Two Cypriot girls in the Final

Cyprus has not been very successful in the Eurovision Song Contest since the semi-final system was introduced in 2004 as Aphrodite’s island had managed only twice (2004, 2010) to qualify to the Eurovision Final.
But 2012 has been a lucky year for the Cypriots; not only the Cypriot representative, Ivi Adamou, managed to  qualify to the Final but also the Greek representative of Cypriot origin, Eleftheria Eleftheriou, will perform at Saturday’s Final.
During the press conference that followed tonight’s Semi-final, Ivi Adamou has been asked  how she feels about this double Cypriot presence in the Final; Ivi replied “Im really happy to perform on the same stage with Eleftheria again on Saturday and this should be consider a great success for a small country like Cyprus”
Ivi will perform on the 8th place while Eleftheria on the 16th. Kali Epitychia Ivi kai Eleftheria!
